You Want Things For Your Life to Manifest? FOLLOW THE FLOW

The directive, "Follow the Flow" has been my mantra (if I may use that word losely) this year.
I have commited myself to it's cadence.

While it is true that 2009 has brought me MANY unexpected visits, I KNOW that I am in a season of expansion and direction. I DO know that there are many things entitled to me as well as some things that are MEANT to manifest before this year ends. This is not merely a hope, it is a knowing.

I know that you too have some heart desires and petitions that you have probably laid before God. If not, I encourage you to do so.

So many times in our lives we can become so accustomed to hustle and bustle, competition, move or be left behind, and so many other trafficking demands that our minds actually find solace in confusion. But we know that confusion is not of God. We also know that confusion, chaos and mismanagment breed a lack of faith, trust and commitment.

Let me remind you that before any major breakthru or visitation from God came in the bible, it was always preceded by a natural element, mainly wind. We are in a time in our lives where we are going to have to dig deeper in the Nature and Personality of God.

If you are going to FIND THE FLOW you need to be in tune with Him and this may be much different from what you're use to. His communication may be different. It will take TIME on your part. It will take PERSERVERANCE, DETERMINATION, HUNGER AND A LOVE FOR HIM LIKE NEVER BEFORE.

It is like praying that all 5 of our senses be intensified to smell Him, see Him, touch Him, taste (experience) Him and hear Him.

As you grow, so is your communication going to grow. What relationship do you know that stays the same after much time in getting to know one another? Communication expands, time extends, appreciation hightens.

Enough of habitual mistakes, that is insanity.
Enough of doing the same thing looking for different results, that is insanity.
Enough of selling yourself short for a temporary satisfaction, that is insanity.

If you want the things that God has for your life, determine within yourself that you are going to follow the flow.

1. It takes OBEDIENCE
2. It takes getting to know Him more (not for His things but for His person)
3. It requires abandoning your ways of doing things
4. It means not always having to be busy DOING but learning how to BE.
5. It requires charging the Word of God daily to work for you. Make the Word come alive by speaking it OUT of your mouth audibly, not just by thought. The world was created by live words formulated with precisely what God wanted.

**If you get in a rush, you've stepped out of the flow.
**If you start to complain, you've stepped out of the flow
**If you attempt your own plan, WARNING! You've stepped out of the flow
**If you panic, you've stepped out of the flow
**If others opinions and advice take precedence over God's words to you, you've stepped out of the flow.

Learn Peace at a different level this year. Get to truly know peace and let it become apart of your friendship circle along with Wisdom and Understanding.

Know this sisters, God will reward your stance. He will guide you because He recognizes that your heart is determined to remain open and in tune with what He wants, when He wants and how He wants.

Don't confine Him to speak to you in just ONE manner, He's much bigger than that.

1. Dreams
2. Visions
3. Spontaneous Thought
4. Impression
5. Scriptures
6. Spiritual Songs

These and more are ways that the Holy Spirit will speak per the command of God the Father.

Let Him in...still your soul...quiet yourself...steal away...and position yourself to find the flow of where He is.
It is there that you will truly rest beside still waters.

  1. I am new to blogging and realize that I need some spiritual guidance. Reading 'Following the Flow' is encouraging. Sometimes, I get so confused by people that I lose sight and focus. Growing up in the church and in a simple minded community, I realize how sheltered I was which impacts my naivety that leads to confusion. How do I break free from confusion that stems from naivety?

  2. This week I realize I have stepped out of the flow. I have two things on my plate that both are requiring attention right now. Yesterday I finally just lost it and after I had my moment I was able to realize okay that was an ERICA MOMENT not a GOD MOMENT. I then was able to start getting somethings done!!

I intend to start Following the Flow and also noticing when I get out of the flow and immediately get myself back in!!

    Thanks Shana

  3. Hello Blezt!

Welcome to TWHN. We are glad that you have joined us.

First of all, separating yourself from others opinions and methods is never easy especially if you have dedicated yourself to following them for any period of time. The separation takes time.

In order to do that you must take some time to realize what your beliefs and convictions are. If you don't know, you will constantly go back and forth between others opinions and your own. We know that God is not in the middle of confusion neither is it His will for you to experience indecision.

What I would recommend you do is take some time to get to know who YOU are. If you don't know who you are then anyone will be able to influence and/or persuade you. Try making a list of words that you would use to describe your personality. List your strengths and weaknesses. Also define your character. Lastly, make a list of who the bible says you are.

I purposely am asking you to do these things because as you begin in reconstructing your life, you will need to see these things before you on a regular basis. Change takes practice and dedication.

Never feel obligated to make a decision immediately no matter WHO it is.
If you have a question, put the decision on hold and research as necessary (either through wise counsel or other methods)
    Love is not manipulation
    Love is not obligation

Be free, take your time on this journey and cut yourself some slack often as you will tend to grade your progress.

Remember, God's love for us is NOT performance based so neither should the acceptance of yourself be!
